"Sugarfoot" Prologue

Welcome to yet another new blog by the Party of Commons, our fourth in six days, as we are trying to fill in the gap that will be left when Yahoo, Inc. shuts down our free websites. "Sugarfoot" will be a place for our manifestos, platforms, ideas and prepared speeches. With "Sugarfoot," there will be less of a need to put these forums in "Senator" and "Coliseum" as we had previously planned to do. "Sugarfoot" symbolizes the spirit and the even-tempered philosophy of the Party of Commons. We love peace, we are environmentally-concious, we are non-interventionist and non-imperial, and we are basically a libertine party that believes in the Golden Rule and minding our own business, but we're not pacifists as often people, nations and institutions must self-defend.

As a young boy of around 8 years of age, the chairman of the Party of Commons witnessed his young (in her late 20's at the time, though deceased since 2006 at 72), thinnish mother sucessfully face off three thugs (adult males) on a city street as they were harassing our teenage female cousin, even though his mother's adult boyfriend, no relation to our family, slinked to the side, and thus the spirit of Sugarfoot was enlightened then and again in the pre-Party of Commons's years.

POST-SCRIPT:

The actor, Will Hutchins, played Sugarfoot, in the famous Old American West television show that was featured in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
